the sun is a big ball of fire. It is a star. It has own light. It lies at the centre of solar system. Eight planets move around the sun. The sun rises in the East and sets in the West. The sun gives us light and heat. The moon gets light from the Sun. The sun shines during the day. The sun plays an important role in the lives of the Earth. In the presence of Sunlight the green plants make food by the process of photosynthesis. The sun is the source of energy. We cannot live without sunlight. We get vitamin D from sunlight that is very much necessary for our body. By the help of solar energy we make solar cooker,solar radio etc. So solar energy plays an important role in human civilization.
