 SCHOOL ANNUAL DAY FUNCTION

Krishnagar, Srijita Nandi, 10th December 22 : Annual functions have always been a grand day of celebration for the school and its students. The function started at 4:00 p.m. in Krishnagar G.G High School(KGGHS). All the participants were very enthusiastic to perform for annual function and our teachers helped everybody get ready on time. The guest was our educational and cultural head of our school. At 4:30 p.m. we all welcomed are chief guest with a bouquet by our teachers and welcome song from the students of class 10th. The dance competition started at 5:30 in which the first performing group was Rajasthani dance where class 12th girls performed gracefully. . Watching the dance we all got enthusiastic and started to cheer for the group.Next came the group songs and folk dances. Dressed in colorful skirts, the whirling dancers were a sight to watch. The class V students had prepared a Hindi play from Panchatantra. Everything went smoothly till the angry tiger tripped and fell while chasing the fox. Instead of roaring with anger, the student playing the tiger began crying aloud.

Fortunately, he was not hurt and began laughing when the fox dropped his mustache. This child, being smart, picked it up and put it in his pocket. The audience roared with laughter, but everyone loved the children. The last act was the play about a man who had lost his memory. The senior students turned out be excellent actors and their efforts were met with well-deserved applause. After the dance competition came the debate competition in which we heard so many motivating voices who gave best of their minds in winning the competition. Our guest of honor specifically applauded the small students of class 6th and 7th for their contribution towards the management of cleaning at the venue. We as a school were very happy to announce about a green project of planting trees starting in our school soon. After the last competition of group dance the annual function ended at exactly 8 p.m. and the students with all the teachers were given the evening snack and were allowed to leave the venue. Our teacher’s also participated in skit competition and presented on various topics such as importance of tree plantation, girl child education ,Indian culture and heritage and many more. From the starting of annual function everything was very clean and good and we as the students of KGGHS thank each and every individual who participated or came to the venue to make the annual function great. I personally liked the prize distribution ceremony because everybody seemed mind happy to see the deserving participants getting recognition. I am definitely going to participate in the coming annual functions to enjoy from the perspective of a participant.
